Filter multiple scorecards using one date slicer

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if someone could help me.

I have a report with an overall summary page showing totals for each of my metrics (different tables) in scorecards. I want to add a date slicer that filters each scorecard so I can see the totals of each action between the two dates.

I have created a date table that is connected to each of the tables by date - the realtionships are currently inactive - if I try to activate more than one of the relationships, I get an error that states there is already an active set of indirect relationships between these tables. If I only have one relationship active the date slicer only works on that table and filters everything else by that table (e.g. company date created - it will filter all the events and show totals only for companies that have been created between those dates - that isn't what I want). If I leave all the relationships inactive the date slicer has no effect whatsoever.

Hopefully someone has done something like this before and can guide me?

Thanks!

Did not get it completely

If you two dates you can keep one of them  as active and another one will remain inactive. You can use userelaltion to activate others.

Please refer to my blog, where two dates have been used: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/HR-Analytics-Active-Employee-Hire-and-Termination-tr...

Appreciate your Kudos.

Hi.

My page looks like this (there are more scorecards than this):

I want each of these scorecards to change when I change the date. For example if one was companies created, one was tasks created and one was users registered I want the totals to reflect each between two dates.

At the moment the slicer does nothing:

This is what my relationships look like:

When I activate just one relationship it filters all the scorecards based on whatever the active relationship is. For example I activated it between date in the date table and company date created. The scorecards then only showed me totals (regardless of date) for companies created between two dates in the filter - that isn't what I want. I want to see totals of everything between those two filters.

Am I going to have to create new columns in my tables? I'm not sure how USERELATIONSHIP is going to solve this problem when the scorecards are doing the sum for me.

@Anonymous

You may apply virtual relationship in DAX measure.

@v-chuncz-msft I'm not understanding what you mean? I'm not using DAX and don't understand how this can fit in? I've got multiple tables and the scorecards are a sum of one column in each table.

Another update to this.

I have tried using DAX to create new columns in the date table.

I'm now getting circular relationship errors.

Can anyone help me please?
