Hello
I'm having a lot of trouble trying to develop the following in Power BI. I have a table called Master that contains a column of product titles, called titles. I need to put two text filters so that the user can add two words, one which is the word he wants the title to contain and the other the word he wants the title not to contain, these filters must filter the data and display the resulting titles in a visualization.
Solved! Go to Solution.
That's the beauty of a filter - unless you lock it or have it hidden the user will be entering the values in the filter.

Hi @perobert ,
Please provide more info. Are the filter words constant or with the use of slicers? Are those that contain and those that don't will be used in different visuals. Please provide a sample data we can work on plus the expected result from that sample data. This should serve as a guide: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/td-p/144...
Thanks for your help. They are not constant, the use of segmenters is required so that a person who is using the dashboard can enter the words they want. They will not be displayed in different visuals, I need the result table to show the titles that contain word 1 and at the same time do not contain word 2
You can add your filter for title field to your filter pane, then select Advanced filtering for filtering type and set the first condition to contains and the second to does not contain:

Thanks for your help. This solution is not what I need since the word to be filtered is not constant, it changes according to the user's desire.

Thank you very much, this is a functionality that I didn't know existed, I thought it was only possible to change filters with the edit permission. It worked perfect for me.
You are most welcome! Have a great day!
