Filter Fiscal Periods using a variable

This Measure calculates correctly but I want to replace the 10 with the Current Period from a table with one record and no links to other tables. 

AC CY YTD = CALCULATE( Data[AC CY],'Time'[FiscalPeriod]>=1 && 'Time'[FiscalPeriod]<= 10)

What's the meaning of the following phrase? Could you please provide some sample data from table Data, table Time and also explain the result you want. Also, provide the related calculation logic and the settings of the visual in your report (e.g. the fields placed and under which option).
