The nomal map can easily identify canadian postal code but the filled map does not show anything.

My test data point is H7M 3L9, Laval, Quebec, Canada.
The map and filled map are using Bing map. "H7M Laval,QC" returns a vague location in Bing map, that's why I think it can't be recoginized in Power BI desktop. Being a little more specific "H7M Laval,QC,CANADA" leads to the correct location.
Unfortunately, the zone it create is for the city of Laval. I'm trying to see subsets of the city. See the linked Google map for an exemple.
If you are aware of any other way (other then postal code) to map subset of city, feel free to share.

As I've stated, Power BI uses the Bing map, it doesn't matter what google map shows.
Try to play with Bing map to see if you can get the subset of the city as google does. If can't, then I think it is a Bing map's limitation.
