Filled Map has gaps

thanks parry2k , I did try the first and second tip but setting the category to "County" or "State or Province" made it worse. Power BI then puts Kent to Kentucky and half of the UK becomes "Redcar and Cleveland". Also, I'm not sure how to go about the second tip. I classified the Country in the dataset accordingly and added it to the location hierarchy of the visual. Is that all you need to do? I'd imagine that you somehow have to add it to the more finegranular region column for it to be used?
