Field Parameter Column does not drill by down correctly in matrix or table visual

Hello!

  1. I created a field parameter with the measures Sales Amount, Number of Orders, and Number of Customers.
  2. I created a new group within the field parameter table, and grouped Sales Amount under "Sales", Number of Orders under "Orders", and Number of Customers under "Customer".
  3. Added field parameter measures as the Values in the Matrix Visual
  4. Added field parameter group as the Rows in the Matrix Visual

Expected Result

The matrix visual is drilled down on rows, showing the measure Sales Amount under the group "Sales",  Number of Orders under "Orders", and Number of Customers under "Customer".

Actual Result:

All measures show up under all groups. For example, Sales Amount, Number of Orders, and Number of Customers show up 9 times or  3 times under each group. It seems like the parameter group is not relating correctly to the parameter measures. I don't understand why this behavior, because when I use the groups in a slicer it works perfectly.

@v-jiewu-msft so what would be a solution for grouping measures?

Hi @blaj ,

Based on the description, Power BI field parameter don’t inherently understand the group hierarchy.
