Feb 2018 Power Bi Desktop Update Issue

Evening

I updated my Power Bi desktop to Feb 2018 and now after I refresh my data on the desktop, all my columns defaulted back to when I did not setup my ‘Sort by Column’.

Anyone experiencing this? Annoying having to redo sort by column

Same issue here.. although it doesn't work to reset the sorts.  When you do another data refresh all the sorts by another column are removed.

For us, this is a big issue since we use this feature quite a bit.

Oh bummer, I didn't even notice until you mentioned it

And I was so excited about the syncing of filters across pages

Will have to punt on this version for now

Anyway to revert back to Power Bi desktop version prior to Feb 2018 update? I have tons of custom sorts.

hi, @IamTDR @blopez11 @Anonymous

In addition to losing the rating of the filters applied, there is another problem, when you share the SLICER it does not take the customization already created.

To solve the problem until the correction of Microsoft I recommend reinstalling the January / 2018 version

Microsoft immediately releases the fix.

Please try and test using it. And please mark the right reply as answer if your issue has been resolved, otherwise, please feel free to ask if you have any other issue.

We aware of this issue and are working on the fix. We hope to have an update on this tommorow...

In the meantime, here is the official link for the January x64 PBI Desktop release from the Download center: http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/B/A/9BAEFFEF-1A68-4102-8CDF-5D28BFFE6A61/PBIDesktop-2018-01...

Thanks,

Alex.

hi, @AlexGorev @blopez11 @IamTDR @Anonymous

Yeah! Alex.

Save this file preventively, rename the file as
PBIDesktop_x64_2.54.4970.761.msi

2.54.4970.761 is the number of the update, remember that it can occur more than one per month as already happened, so put the number.

Please try and test using it. And please mark the right reply as answer if your issue has been resolved, otherwise, please feel free to ask if you have any other issue.
