Failed to save modifications to the server error in Power BI Desktop ONLY on a new laptop

Hi All Experts,

Appreciate if you can shed some lights on me!

I have searched about the same topics but couldn't find a solution for my scenario.  I've got the following error message which came out only at the end of the refresh.  I have seen that all the data rows loaded; and then the error.  The weird thing is it did not happen when I run the same report with my "old" laptop (running i5-11357G7 @2.4GHz with 16G RAM).  It happens only on my new laptop (running i7-1270P @2.5 GHz with 16G RAM).   Both machines are running the latest version (Oct 2022) of Power BI Desktop.

Any ideas?

Regards,

MF

HI @Fung ,

are all error messages the same?
While upgrading open a task manager and see how the memory grows.
Do you have calculated columns and/or tables in your model?

Marco

@menglaro78

Hi Macro, thanks for your feedback.

Yes. All the error messages are the same.

The memory goes about 14GB out of 16GB during the Refresh.

Also yes.  there are many calculated columns which I know is not ideally, but I have no control on it.

The wierd thing is my OLD laptop is having the same amount of RAM and the same report can be refreshed successfully.
