Failed to save modifications to server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error]

Hi,

I have pulled data into Power Query using a URL data source directing to an excel file in Sharepoint.

I can transform and refresh fine in the Power Query Editor, but when I go to Load, it stops at only a few thousand rows in and gets stuck.

The Load ultimately fails and gives the below message window.

Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error]

Any ideas on how to fix?

Hi @UKFan12 ,

What you need to do is in power bi desktop go to query editor then right click your web data source and click Advanced Editor. This will give you access to M code behind it. You need to specify timeout interval in there manually. See below image and then should work hopefully.
