Hi All,
I have a scenario in which i am attempting to load a text file into Power Query. The first cell of the first column contains the column names that I need to use as headers.
How can I split the cell value by delimiter and use the resulting values as column names in Power Query?
Please assist.
Thank you!
Hello @Uday02 ,
If I have understood correctly, you can try replacing deliminator from coma to pipe "I".
Then try to load your text file. Before loading, select Custom delimeter option for pipe. You will see, column names are separated in preview: Load data.
Now, go to power query. -> Remove rows-> Remove top rows -> Remove top 1 row. -> Promote header -> rename header name.
(The top row can be removed in the source text file itself if you are allowed to)
Please let me know if this is not the desired solution.
Please provide the sample data in usable format, not as a screenshot.
