I am getting an error creating an external data connection to a Json Dataset.
The current query is;
Let
getData = (optional cursor as text) =>
let
cursor = if cursor = null then “” else cursor,
source = Web.Contents(
https://(DataSet URL Removed),
[Query=[cursor=cursor]]
),
json = Json.Document(source)
in
json
,
data = List.Generate(
() => [hasNext = true, result = getData()],
each [hasNext] <> false,
each [
result = getData([result][cursor]),
hasNext = [result][hasNext]
],
each [result][collection]
)
in
data
I am getting an error on LINE 2 - Token Eof Expected. I am not sure what fix needs to exist.
Any assistance is appreciated!

Hi @vnardo1 ,
From the syntax you present it seems to me that you are trying to create a custom function correct?
the getData part on that line is not necessary try only:
Let
(optional cursor as text) =>
let
cursor = if cursor = null then “” else cursor,
source = Web.Contents(
https://(DataSet URL Removed),
[Query=[cursor=cursor]]
),
json = Json.Document(source)
in
json
,
data = List.Generate(
() => [hasNext = true, result = getData()],
each [hasNext] <> false,
each [
result = getData([result][cursor]),
hasNext = [result][hasNext]
],
each [result][collection]
)
in
data
