Exporting Data from Published Report

I have published a report having different visuals. As per user, they need option to dowload data from Published Report for further analysis. Is this possible? If yes, how?

HI @ashwani_pal,

I'm not so sure why export feature not works on your side, have you try to create new report with current datasource?

In addition, you can also take a look at limitations of export feature:

Limitations and considerations

The maximum number of rows that can be exported from Power BI Desktop and Power BI service to .csv is 30,000.
The maximum number of rows that can be exported to .xlsx when in the Power BI service is 150,000 for Pro users and 30,000 for Free users.
When using DirectQuery, the maximum amount of data that can be exported is 16 MB. This may result in exporting less than the maximum number of rows, especially if there are many columns, data that is difficult to compress, and other factors that increase file size and decrease number of rows exported.
Power BI only supports export in visuals that use basic aggregates. Export is not available for visuals using model or report measures.
Custom visuals, and R visuals, are not currently supported.
Export data is not available for users outside of your organization who are using a dashboard that has been shared with them.
If there is unicode character in the .csv file, the text in Excel may not display properly. Although, opening it in Notepad will work fine. Examples of unicode characters are currency symbols and foreign words. The workaround for this is to import the csv into Excel, instead of opening the csv directly.

hi,

i also have a same problem with @ashwani_pal..

@Anonymous you are showing the visual from Power BI web service, not the visual which is publish to the website.

Until now.. as the end user, whom did not have any account in power BI and still want to use the data from the published report, how to export the data?

@ashwani_pal

If you want to see all the data, you need to create a Table visual and then put all the required fields in it. Once done and published it, the user can export the data by Clicking on the visual and then select ... (three dots) on the right top and then select Export option.

Please note, there are some limitations for the exporting. I believe, user can export 150000 rows into excel.

Hi,

Thanks for reply, but unfortunately this is not working. The three dots are not coming itself (Please refer attached screenshot which is taken from published report). Please let me know in case there is any other solution.
