I need to execute a sql server query in power bi. I know this isn't how it is generally done and PBI recommends writing queries in M query, my hand is kind of forced in this.
I have an expression. let's assume it is "Month(GetDate())" . I need Power BI to take that sql query and execute it.
If i load this in "edit queries" I just get :
let
Source = "Month(GetDate())"
in
SourceHowever, I would like PBI to execute it and give me the current month.
I atleast need to know that this isn't possible with power BI in any way.
Thanks in advance!

hi, @Anonymous
You could use SQL server query in the connector as below:
And for your case, I would suggest you use writing queries in M query.
