ExecuteXmla failed with result error while trying to open a pbix file on Power BI desktop

When i try to open any pbix file on power bi desktop, i get an error: ExecuteXmla failed with result. this issues is from couple of months.

the stack traces shows

Hi, @deepuooty 

You downloaded a 32-bit version, so an error occurred. You should install a 64-bit version instead of 32-bit version.

Thankyou, that worked. Not sure why suddenly I started facing this issue as I had been using the same one from almost a year on the same system.

It may be related to the version of the file you opened. The 32-bit version is not compatible with the 64-bit version.

@deepuooty , check the version of power bi, you are using.  Make sure you are using the latest one.

Also if you have got this file from someone. ask them share again
