Excluding data with a drill down in a Line Chart

I have 2 requirements

1. is to be able to exclude data on a linechart which is possible

2. is to be able to drill down into the linechart which is also possible, however not when you combine the two

As soon as I add drill down data into the line chart i am no longer able to exclude data.  If you take the drill down data in a different visual I would need to then have the line chart interact and filter other visuals but the line chart doesn't seem to interact with other charts so if you click on a certain point, it wont filter the data in other visuals.

any advice here - can't seem to find a visual in the custom visuals either that would allow me to do this.

Hi @vanessafvg,

I am still confused your scenario. I post the following information according to my understanding.

I create a table, Clustered bar chart and line chart. They all have drill down.

1.PNG

When we select one year in bar chart, other visual will be effected by the operation like the screenshot below.

2.PNG

But we can not select one year in linechart to effect other visuals.

If it is not what you want, please share more details.

Thanks,
Angelia

Hi ok yes i see i need to explain more @v-huizhn-msft

1, I am viewing the line chart a date (day) level already, the drill down is to drill into another piece of information such as the trade or neighbourhood.

If I drag the date into the tool tip when you click on a part of the line you can see exactly what day you clicking on, you can then drill down into it.  As i said that works find, as long as you don't exclude any data.  For example i might want to exclude the 30 of April, so i click on that day and right click exclude, but you can only do that if you dont have anything to drill down into underneath.

what would really solve this problem for me is if there is anyway a line graph can interact with other graphs in a push scenario?

Hi @vanessafvg,

I really understand you, but it's hard to achieve your requirement until now. The product will be better. Thanks for your supporting.
