Excel not refresh on Gateway

Hi!

I'm using a Excel file (material stock) into my power bi report.

Excel file must be updated everyday.

When I refresh excel using power bi desktop it works ok so I have configured the excel on gateway:

Report show data from excel that I publish last time.

Report shows the excel data that I uploaded when I published the report the last time and it is never refreshed from the gateway.

But gateway doesn't show any error on refresh.

Hi, @Anonymous

I'm not sure I understand you correctly.
After the Excel file is saved and the dataset is manually refreshed in the service, then the modification date of the Excel file stays before the refresh date.
Are you saying that when you open Excel and then save, the data in the service is automatically refreshed without having to manually refresh the dataset in the service again?

Hi, @Anonymous

If the refresh time of the data set is updated, then I believe you refreshed successfully.

Note that when you refresh the dataset, the visual will not refresh dynamically so you will need to manually refresh the page or click on the "Refresh visuals"  at the top bar for you to see the updated report.

Hope this helps.

@v-angzheng-msft No, I refresh and data are not updated.

I think it is because of Excel "Date modified" is before last refresh date.

If I open excel and save it (with no modification) then power bi refresh data.

¿Is there any way to force to read current excel?

Un saludo

@amitchandak, yes, file name is equal but content is completly different: different row numbers, amounts, etc.

@Anonymous , In power query , when you right-click on table there is option , to refresh is incremental load , check if that is enabled
