Hi MikeOrozco ,
Based on the description of your problem, it seems like the refresh time is significantly impacted when interacting with complex filters and pivot tables. May I ask if you have tried to optimize the data?
- Ensure that the measures created in Power BI (and subsequently used in Excel) are optimized for performance. This includes avoiding complex calculations that can be simplified or pre-calculated within Power BI before being imported into Excel.
- While filters are essential for drilling down into data, excessive use, especially in combination, can significantly slow down refresh times.
- Slicers can sometimes offer a more performance-efficient way to filter data in pivot tables. They are especially useful when dealing with a large number of items to filter.
