Excel Refresh
I have a datamodel connected into Excel as my users only are familiar with that and wont change to leveraging PowerBI. When I use the Analzye in Excel function or connect to the Data Model from PowerBI it works as it is intended, however where I am running into issues is with the constant need for the model to continiously refresh when my users are leveraging multiple filters with pivots leveraging measures created from PowerBI. When this happens it looks like it is consistently refreshing the data model. I've turned off all of the refresh options within the query but I can't seem to get passed this. Each time the data loads its taking close to 30-60 seconds to refresh its connection to the model. Any help or recommendations on alternative solutions to this is appreciated!!
error previewing a reply that has a pasted table from Excel
When pasting a table from Excel into a reply, this Community (not this forum) is showing an error: "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested." I've converted the Excel table into a range, which I'm pasting below. When previewing my reply without any other text or link, the preview initially warns: "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied." When I try to preview again, the Community shows the error and no preview (the action). However, there's no error if NOT previewing. In other words, the pasted table can be posted in a reply. Just wondering though, am I not correctly pasting? Hi all, I have a quite specific question for you : I made a query with parameters to get the values of multiple excel files (hosted on sharepoint) into one single table, that I will call "multiple file table" or "consolidation table". Because all these files have exactly the same structure, I can see them in one single Power BI Table with same columns for each. In the applied steps of the Table, I had to remove the First 10 rows of the Excel file (it contains useless values), but it just did it for the 1st file I injected. What I would like is : create a formula to remove first 10 rows each time my Table is processing a new file. (What I did until now is a series of "= Table.SelectRows(#"Renamed Columns", each [field1] <> null and [field2] <> null" ... but it is quite ugly and not developer friendly.)
