Good afternoon all!
Brand spanking new to PowerBI and the first test case is exploring publishing datasources and then connecting Excel to it.
Am having issues on the published source in Excel.
I cannot drag my measure values to the "Values" section:
However, when I create my dataflow on the server I have the fields as currency and whole number:
And in PowerBI before I publish to the server, in the model I have it set to "Sum" and I do see the sigma icon:
Any idea's on why when connecting this source to excel, I cannot put these values, into the "Values" of the pivot table?
Thanks for any responses!

Thanks for setting on right path.
Following this short 3 min video I made my own measures table:

The article you sent said that powerbi would recognize a sigma measure, but that excel pivot would not.
To counteract this I made my own measures table with specific X = sum() calculations. Then excel recognized these as measures.
