Hello there,
I have noticed that when i am chaning the column name without changing its characters - for example from "Atribute Name" to "atribute name" i have an error:
The name "atribute name" is already used for a column on table "table name". Choose a different name.
It seems like this is a bug.
The workaround is to change the name to another temporar value and than change again to the desired column name.
Hi Slawomirdrzymal,
According to your description, you are experiencing the issue when changing a column name for "Atribute Name" to "atribute name", right?
I have tested it on my local environment, we can reproduce this issue. Based on my research, it seems that the obecjt name on Power BI are case-insensitive. So the name "Atribute Name" and "atribute name" were treated as the same name.

There is already one idea regarding to case insensitive, please check: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/12423990-case-sensitivity-as-an-o...
Not sure if it qualifies as a bug, it is just the nature of the modeling engine, column names are case insensitive. For example, if you have a column called "Hours" and you create a new column called "Column" and you give it as its formula:
Column = [hours]
or
Column = [Hours]
or
Column = [HoUrS]
or
Column = [HOURS]
They all work.
