Hi All,
I am trying to sort one calculated column. I want to do sorting in the order showing High,Medium and Low. For that I have created one more column which is derived from the below used calculated column and column is created with Numerical Value for below range and tried to sort the Data of calculated "WorkTime Range" column using sort by option of new Created coloumn. But getting Circular Dependency error.
Kindly suggest if any changes required. Any help on this topic will be highly appreciated.

Hi @sagarsahoo_123 ,
You can follow the steps below to get it, please find the details in the attachment.
1. Create a sort table using Enter Data method
2. Select the field [WorkTime Range] and sort this field by the field [Sort]
3. Create the relationship between the table SortTable and Consolidated_Data base on the field [WorkTime Range]
4. Apply the field [WorkTime Range] of the SortTable onto the matrix to replace to original field [WorkTime Range] of the table Consolidated_Data
Best Regards

Hi @sagarsahoo_123 ,
In order to make troubleshooting and give you a suitable solution, could you please provide some sample data in your table "VM_NIPPON_PRODUCTIVITY" (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. By the way, is the field [SortByRangeWT] a calculated column? If yes, please provide the related formula. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

Hi Team,
Sharing the PBIX file in the attached link.
Please go to the Details page where i want to sort in High, Medium, low order. Here two calculated column created. One is "WorkTime Range" which gives the range on the basis of Work time captured and one more "SortByRangeWT" which gives numerical value to "WorkTimeRange" column. Now needs to do sorting but while sorting the WorkTimeRange column based on "SortByRangeWT" column , it throws Circular Dependancy error.
Kindly help me to resolve this or any other way for better sorting in the desired order.
Thanks in advance for your support!
