Error loading data from local file (Excel)

Kiven03_0-1712042629127.png

Hi All,

I worked on this data set long back (1 month approximate ).

Today I have opened it, I have cleared all the errors with file path in Power Query.

But later when I loaded it, it shows this kind of error and I really don't understand what to do.

Please provide me with any solution.

Thank you in Advance,

Vivek

Hi @Kiven03
You have some problems with the table Fact_marks.
Check what is the format of the file if it is XLS , change to XLSX.

If it doesn't help:

Select the query in the fields: open "Edit Query"; This will open the power query editor.
Now go to the navigation steps of that query on the right-hand side.
Step by step - review each step in the navigation. In one of them you would find an issue (e.g. Column change etc ); the step where you can open the "Table" click on it and the Table will open.
Then Apply,  Refresh in the main Power BI screen.

Hi @Ritaf1983 ,

Thank you for the help, this is really helpful to me.
But, the thing is I have managed everything long back (If I knew this video or trick it would have been very useful thing at the time).
This kind error is very new and strange. If I didn't find any solution, I will definitely use your tip and develop every from scratch.

Thanks you very much.
