Error importing .xls file with blank rows

Good afternoon

I have an .xls file that powerbi doesn't matter correctly. The .xls file is generated by an excel 97-2003.

If imported as an excel workbook, there are blank fields (this happens because the file has the first 2 blank rows). If you open the file by activating compatibility mode with a newer version and save the file, if you read the fields.

If the file is imported as a csv file there is no language that reads the file correctly.

How can you successfully import excel from 97-03?

Best regards.

Hello, I found that solution, always here on the blog.

You must downloadMicrosoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable from the following link

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255.

it may be of your use, greetings

HI  @JJesus_powerbi

You may try to make sure your original data is in Excel Tables (Press CTRL+T on your data) and then Power Query knows where the data starts and ends.
