Hi,
I am doing an assignment and have never linked data to OneDrive. I have the excel sheets imported from web, actually they are direct queried, and I cannot transform the data at all. I get this error when I try to save my transormations Load was cancelled by an error in loading a previous table and The 'Order Year' column does not exist in the rowset., I made a new column tho just extract the year. Really confused.
Hi @330SMG ,
When you save your transformations and click Close and Apply, the query starts running.
From the error you shared, it seems clear that the 'Order Year' column is missing from the source excel sheet. power bi porbably thinks that it is supposed to find Order Year as a column , to get values/data , from your excel source worksheet.
Adding the column in your source should fix your problem. However I would suggest checking the steps you did to perform the transformation. Feel free to share them from your Power query editor to a reply below so I can understand your exact issue better.
