Error Bars Show Label For Upper Bound Only

Hi,

Using PBID Nov, 2025.
Is it possible to show the Value Label for the Upper Bound but not the Lower Bound?

Thanks,

w

HI @tecumseh,

In Power BI Desktop (Nov 2025), error bar labels cannot be independently controlled for Upper vs Lower bounds. Power BI treats error bars as a single visual element, not two separate ones. However you can try with below workaround.
Instead of relying on error-bar labels:

  1. Create a measure for Upper Bound Value
Upper Bound Label = [Base Value] + [Upper Error]
  2. Add this measure as:

    • Secondary bar (transparent)

    • Or Tooltip / Card / Table

  3. Turn data labels ON only for this measure.

Thanks,

@srlabhe

On the vis, you see where the 0% is dispalyed for the lower bound of the error bar.
I'd like to hide / suppress that 0% dispalying - only display the value for upper bound on the right side of the error bar.

Thanks,
w
