Error Appling Query Changes

 

Added new data to existing report from an excel data source.  When select apply changes receive the following error:  'Failed to save modifications to the server.  Error returned:  Invalid argument.  Unupported aggregation datatype for VertiPaq measure.  The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.'  Please help with ideas on how to fix (is there something wrong with the data file??)

Could you be more precisely with the steps how you added the new data to existing report from an excel data source? Is the data from a single or multiple Excel files?

 

It's better that you can share a dummy pbix file and the test Excel files which can reproduce the issue. You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploadingSmiley Happy

Thank you for your response.  So I added the new data (from one excel file tab) to another existing powerbi report and was successful ??  So I think it's something within that specific powerbi report.  What do you think.  Should i still post the files out there for further help?
