Enable Persistent Filters on Dashboard

I want to pin a report to my dashboard and keep the filter. Instead the dashboard only gets the default filter. What do I need to do in order to retain my filter on the dashboard?

Based on my test, it doesn't apply to dashboard. You may submit an idea here.
