Embed SharePoint Video In Report

I was looking to embed a video hosted on Stream into my Power BI report, but due to my organization’s account, the Stream URL embed link converts into a SharePoint link, which ends up not working in my report when using the HTML Content Power BI visual.

I have already tried alternative options, such as creating a PowerApps app and hosting the video there. It worked fine, but my only issue is that for the first second, the PowerApps screen/visual appears empty for about one second before loading the video, which doesn’t look very good.

If anyone has successfully embedded a video hosted on SharePoint, I would greatly appreciate your help! I’m assuming the issue is related to the authentication process that SharePoint uses, as my video is accessible only to everyone in my organization.

Any help will be very much appreciated!

Yeah, that's part of what I mean when I mentioned the visual is half-baked - it shows this while it loads for a couple seconds, and there's a border around it that you can't remove, and it's blurry most of the time. It could use a lot of work to make it better if it's going to continue to be offered long-term. There's not a better way that I'm aware of, though.

You can't natively embed video in Power BI - the approach you're going with the Power App is the "best" option I'm aware of. I am not sure what you mean that the screen is empty - if you put it on the first screen of the app it shoudn't be empty. The canvas app visual is a bit half-baked though, just fair warning.

My apologizes I should've been more clear. My approach involves hiding and showing a video using buttons & bookmarks. So everytime I show the video it shows this screen attached to this message for about one second. Which is why I was seeking other solutions.

I'm assuming because of the authentication process that SharePoint goes through as my video is accessable to everyone in my orignization only.

And that's exactly the issue you will experience.  The Power BI Service has no access to your sharepoint, and as a result none of the videos will be accessible.
