Editing Queries

I have a quick question. It might seem silly, but I cannot find the answer anywhere.

If I updated how a query looks (ie: formatting dates, etc) on an Azure SQL view, will these columns everytime the data is refreshed? 

My gut says YES, but I don't want to go crazy with repeating efforts.

Power bi has its own format modeling for data,

so it should not be changed when data source changed only format.
