Edit Query Load Error

Hi all,

I've been trying to add a new row to my data in Edit Query, but whenever I click "close and apply" I get a message that does not allow it due to duplicated numbers?? I don't know much about the relationships since Power BI does this automatically. Does anyone know why this happens or what I can do to fix this? I attached a picture of the pop up.

It has been a pain having to upload an entire new table and then make corresponding edits. Does anyone know if there are settings I can set that will automatically import my data to those specific settings I set? For example, say I want it to upload as % with no rounding, the Summarization set to Sum, with the Y and X axis toggled off, etc.?

I appreciate any help!

@Jazlynelsie , power bi can create an automatic relationship, If the option is enabled

File-> Options and Setting -> Option -> Current File -> Data load

Disable that and try.

In case this table already have relationship and you are trying to edit , delete that  first

@amitchandak It worked! Thank you so much, however now the sorting is off. In the edit query, my data is in order how it should be with the row I just added, but when I create my stacked bar graph, it doesn't stay that way. I made sure to select sort by the column I want (Q31 Wk 2....etc.,), but it's still out of order. Is there anything I can do about that?

Hi @Jazlynelsie ,

If you want to sort by the order in the Power Query Editor, then please create an index column and then sort the column based on this index column.

Sort one column by another column in Power BI

If the values in your column are not unique, then you need to add the indexes in groups.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Winniz

Hi,

I did create an index column, and I tried to the "group by" as well. It did not work. My graph says there is an error. table.pngerror.pngthis index.png
