Is there a secret to getting "edit credentials" to show up? It seems I can never do it easily and then it sometimes just magically appears. I have successfully connected desktop to a SharePoint list. Now I want to schedule a refresh on that SharePoint list.
- We do not have any on-premises data and we do not use Gateway connections.
- I have several other SharePoint lists that I connect to directly - so have got this working before.
I can successfully set it up and connect to the data with the desktop. So I know I am connecting correctly...and I can enter data in the SharePoint list and refresh my desktop file with no issue.
But I cannot get the Data Source Connection to not be greyed out. Any tips or suggestions?

Hi @Anonymous ,
Sorry for replying late. If you connect to Sharepoint list instead of Sharepoint online list, you need to configure a gateway for it if you want to refresh it. Sharepoint online list is a cloud service that needs not a gateway so that it can be refreshed directly.
