Is it possible to dynamically update a bookmark or, failing that, link a button to the "update bookmark" function in the BOOKMARKS pane?
My reason: I have a series of reports that are ongoing MAAR charts. Right now I am working in Desktop, but this will eventually be published and shared online as a Dashboard. Every month the data source (SharePoint) is updated, and the chart slicers advanced a month to look at a rolling 12-month average. I use bookmarks and buttons linked to them (on the report) to switch between views.
This all works splendidly, but here's the issue: fast forward a few months into the future (from when the report was made), say April 2019. If I click my bookmark for View A it bumps my column chart back to the 12-month period ending in this month (when the bookmark was made). I move my slicer up to May 2018 - April 2019, looks good, then click the other bookmark to see View B, boom, I am back to January 2018 - December 2018 again.
I want to keep the option of viewing historical data, but by default would like the bookmarks to save the last view, at least manually if no other option.
Is it possible?
