Dynamically filter matrix columns

Hi all,
I have the following dataset:

I want to be able to include a matrix visualisation, but filter the columns so that only the current year is displayed.  This needs to be dynamic so that it updates automatically each year.

I thought about including a measure and filter on the table, but couldn't get this approach to do what I want:

IsCurrentYear =

VAR CurrentYear = YEAR(TODAY())

RETURN IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Total Sales'[Year])=CurrentYear, 1, 0)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i might be misunderstood but is this what you are looking for?

exact same DAX as yours but using TOPN in visual filter.
