Dynamic user-input date values

I'm interested in creating a parameter or some other kind of user input element to enable end users to modify the date values a the report data source. The idea is to give users a way to adjust the original date values as new dates (signified by a new start/end date field) in a slicer and base the visuals on those fields so that they can dynamically adjust displayed dates. I played around with parameters and searched for similar solutions but didn't have any luck. Is something like this possible? Report file is here.

Hi @TimQ ,

You want to have the calculations based on a different date for each of the projects?

I can think of a workaround that can have two ways of input. Create a spreadsheet or a sharepoint list with the project numbers and then the users can fill those new dates on that spreasheet / sharepoint list.

The filling of those values can be made directly in the the spreadsheet (saved no onedrive/sharepoint) or using PowerApps visual.

Then you just need to make a connection to that spreadsheet/sharepoint list and update the data.

Regards

Miguel Félix

@MFelix thanks for the idea. I think this is a solid approach and one that I will test out. I'm really hoping to embed the spreadsheet in the report file itself so the user can enter the data and have teh visual update itself all in one place. PowerApps seems like a promising route. I'm also considering publishing it as an app and embedding the URL to a spreadsheet stored on OneDrive through the app.
