Hello.
I have a local MS SQL Server and Power BI.
I have a very big table and the loading process to Power BI Desktop lasts a very long time.
I tried to parametrized my SQL query and change the start and end times from the report.
It would be great to have a default time range set for 8 h and have the ability to change this time range from the report in order to get another portion of data from a table.

What is the best solution to cope with a huge amount of data?
For example, I have a daily report which is the most often displayed for the last week but sometimes there is a need to show the whole year or two years. I don't want to load few years of data every day.

According to your description, It seems that the incremental refresh in the power bi can help you to achieve your requirement. It can extend scheduled refresh operations by providing automated partition creation and management for dataset tables that frequently load new and updated data.
