Dynamic table/data for a scatter chart

Hi all,

I have multiple measures created for Importance/Satisfaction with aspect of a service. I am trying to build a scatter plot with 4 quadrants (high Importance/High satisfaction, etc).

Data looks like this

ID     Service Satisfaction A Score   Service Satisfaction B   Service Importance A    Service Importance B     NPS score  NPS Categ

123            5                                          10                                     9                                            9                            9           promoter

124            10                                         9                                      7                                            8                            8          Passive

For each individual Service aspects I have calculated the average and I want to use it in a scatter chart to show their position in relation to the average intersection point of satisfaction and Importance. I also want to be able to change the be able to show whats important for detractors, etc hence the NPS is included.

I was thinking to create a calculated table however it wont be dynamic based on the selection in a slicer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous

It seems you may create measures to get dynamic value. Here is the article about scatter chart for your reference. If it is not your case, please refer to the article How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly to explain more about your question.

HI there, not exactly what I am looking for.

Basically I want to replicate this scatter plot (see attached the Excel ) in PBI. The values will change base on different filters(reporting off a pivot table. I have created the measures (average of scores for each attribute) but now I would like to make it dynamic in PowrBi like it is in excel once i apply slicer selection.

Hi @Anonymous

You may add average line as below.Attached sample file for your reference.

this looks great, however my Attribute 1 AVG importance, attribute 1 AVG satisfaction,  Attribute 2 AVG Importance, Attribute 2 AVG satisfaction etc are calculated separated measures in PowerBi. Is there a way make that dynamic in a table? In the scatter plot I cannot pull more than one field in the X/Y axis...so i have the position only for the attribute one. The two lines represents the Avergage of all  Attributes Importance and all Attributes Satisfaction and it should change based on different other filter. So i am assuming the table should contain all fields that I want to bring in for filtering ? Looks like I will have to replicate the table in Excel with the attributes avg value for importance and satisfaction. Any idea how? Or is there a different way?

Thanks a lot in advance  for your help with this!

Hi @Anonymous

It seems there's no better way to put multiple different measures into scatter chart. You may try to adjust data structure and create one measure to get dynamic values and use it in x_axis/y-axis.
