Dynamic row headers in matrix visual

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to include dynamic row headers in a matrix visual.  I can achieve what I want using paramaters when the parameter is added to a column, but not as a row.  It needs to be added as a row.

Kind regards,

Ben.

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi all,

Apologies I figured out what I was doing wrong.  I was trying to use a measure in a parameter, and display this as a row in the matrix.  Ended up having to use a connected table.  Assuming PowerBi couldn't determine the relationship and therefore drill down to the appropriate level on the row, to display the parameter.

Thanks for your comments though, much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ben.

Hi @bhalicki

The approach depends on what you really want to achieve. You could use field parameters on both the column and row headers. Maybe field parameters isn't the answer. Maybe the use of a disconnected table or two. Or both. There's just not enough information. hello @bhalicki

i might be misunderstood, but i tried to put field parameter in matrix and looks fine.

Field parameter in matrix looks like accept either column or measure as value.

Thank you.
