Hello everyone,
I would like to add to my report a long text that will change weekly (these are some qualitative comments on the weekly result of the company. Since they will be changed once a week, i would like to avoid having to change manually a textbox in PBI desktop and republish it; instead i am thinking of putting the weekly comment in a basic text file, that would be used as a source and retrieved during the PBI scheduled refresh. The text would be presented in a text box (to make it simple, without any specific formatting).
I don't see how to do that or whether it is actually possible.
Does anyone have an idea?
@Anonymous why don't you try card visual in Power BI?
Hi @Anonymous
You could indeed do that as explained and then even use the Custom Visual "Long Text Viewer". And then you can point that at the source Text file, which once that gets updated, you can then update the Power BI data, which will in turn update the Custom Visual.
Hi @GilbertQ
thanks for your quick answer. But unfortunately it seems like the Long text viewer custom visual has been removed from the office store.
Any other idea?
Hi @Anonymous
What about this custom visual?
