Dynamic hiding / removing of data in a matrix visual

Hi Community,

I am searching for a way to hide values in a Matrix visual.

The Matrix shows rolling 3 years. So next year you will see 2023,2022,2021.

Current View:

D4imi0n_2-1648728304478.png

My desired result hides the values Var. in € and Var. in % for the oldest year. In the example, the values in row 2020.
Sales, Var. in € and Var. in % are measures.

Desired Result:

I tried to change the font color to hide the entries. Unfortunately I was not able to implement this.

I would appreciate any suggestions and ideas.

Thanks in advanced!

Any luck with this?

Let me know if you need further assistance on this

Hi Ritesh,
sorry that my reply took so long. I tried to adopt your solution. The problem at the moment is that I am not currently working with a calculated table. I think this is your approach. Maybe a picture will clarify my current modeling approach.

As you can see I use the table DimDate and a Measure Table for the matrix (blue arrows). The matrix is restricted for the selection of the rolling years via a page filter. The rolling years are determined by a column in the DimDate table (red arrows).
In your example you have created a table in which there were only the three years and there you have determined the two most recent dates using the RankX function. Through this determination you could then display the key figures at these locations. Unfortunately, I do not get it with my modeling approach.
I continue to try to find a solution and thank you in advance for your time.

Cheers

Hello ,

Please try this

New Var = IF(RANKX('exclude oldest year','exclude oldest year'[Year],,ASC)>1,'exclude oldest year'[Var] ,"")

I will try this now. Thx

I am still on it. Had to make a break yesterday but I get your point. I am on it again and I will give you feedback when I am done. Thanks
