Dynamic hideable columns in a table visual

Hi,

I found this Post:

it helped me out a lot with a report. But I have problem using this for multiple tables.

There is no data in the columns when I try to do the same thing for a second table with other values.

Is there a DAX-Expert here that can help me figure out what the problem is?

@noah44 Can you please paste some sample data here and explain what you mean by second table - is that a second table visual or data model table or both?

I mean a second Table Visual with different values but from the same data model

We don't need the actual data, but need to know more about the data model - how many tables are you working with within the data model?

The data used in the table visuals comes from one Table. Within the report I have three imported tables and the ones described in the tutorial. But I only use data from one of the imported ones.

@noah44  And are you creating additional tables like the ones in the tutorial or trying to use the same? If you want to have two unrelated filters for the columns, you'll need to do that with two tables, and then update the DAX to look at the value of both tables, does that help or make any sense?

sorry for the late reply. Sadly I can't fully understand, what do you mean "update the DAX to look at the value of both tables" 

I've been working with Power Bi for a while now but I am still having my problems with DAX

@noah44  If you can share your report (use OneDrive link) that would be best, otherwise, what are your current DAX formulas and also your Data Model screenshot with relationships? 

You haven't provided much detail about your data, so hard to give you more specific help without that. 

But from your description, I suspect that the relationships between the multiple tables is making this not work, you need to use an OR filter perhaps in your DAX: you can use || for or. Otherwise if you have two filters from two tables, Power BI will apply BOTH filters at the same time and I suspect that returns no results, because it needs to meet one OR the other condition, but not both? 

Not sure if I understand your requirements properly, so any detail you can provide on that would be fantastic!
