Hello All,
So I am trying to implement a RLS for my organisation. I had followed the step provided by RADACAD. https://radacad.com/dynamic-row-level-security-with-organizational-hierarchy-power-bi
I have been successful, however I still have the below issue, referring to the attached link, you can see that Lindsay Reports to Amy and Amy reports to Reza. Hence when Reza logs in, he could be able to see the the data pertaining to his subordinates, however, my problem is when Amy Logs in, I want a dynamic filter that - when Amy logs in - she should only see her name and her sub-ordniates, i.e. her name and Lindsay's name. As the columns are static, I am finding it difficult to mask the Level 1 - Level 4, if Level 5 logs in. Or mask the name of Level 1-3 if Level 4 logs in.
Although the logic works perfectly, visually the slicer is taking more space if - a Level 9 logs in, as they will see the name from Level 1 - Level 8 - with no real value addition for their name being present.
PS, I have also taken help from knowledgebank. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1PAOeonCcc
Kind Regards
Raj

Hi @Anonymous ,
RLS only filter strict data access at the row level, it can't control the display of the field dynamically. You may drag the field Name onto the visual, it will only the names which include current level and its child level, but the problem is there will be no hierarchy level...
