Hi Power BI Experts,
I have a requirement in power bi that whoever logged into the power bi report based on the user the data need to display. Normally we can go ahead with dynamic row level security and the same i developed the report using email id column and added the emailid=username() expression. Joined the employee table with my model to filter the records based on the different filter selection. It is working fine in my power bi service level when i test as different user. But my req. is to add my power bi report in power apps application. In the application there are two screens one is power apps screen and other is power report. The power bi report is not understanding the loggedin user from power apps and it is not filtering the data based on it. Please help me how to proceed on this req. is any thing i am doing wrong with row level security or instead of i need to add a flog or measure to filter the data based on the logged in user in power apps screen. Please help.
@prakash11440278, Have you added those email id under the security of the dataset?
Hi @prakash11440278 ,
Can these users see all the data? If this is the case, it is usually because these users have edit permission to the report.
Best Regards,
Stephen Tao

@Anonymous - I am having a similar issue suggested above and have users within the Edit persmission within my sharepoint. If i move users into the read permission would this resolve persmission issues considering my main list doesnt have email address but another list within my sharepoint has the email address. But within my main list there is a lookup column to bring in another field from the list which contains email addresses
