Hi All,
I'm new to the forum so if I'm posting in the wrong place please forgive me.
I'm attempting to use slicers to modify a pie chart dynamically.
Basically I want to have a pie chart showing total breakdown of sales from multiple divisions before slicing, then when I use the slicer to select an individual division, I want the pie chart to change from the total sales, to the divisional sales figures. The base function of the slicer shows me only the one division in a solid piece of the pie chart, which is useless to me after it's been sliced.
I've seen some threads similar to this but not delving into an actual solution or tapping directly on this problem.
Please let me know if anyone has any ideas!
Thanks,
CGran

Hi @CGran ,
Base on my research, there is no direct method to achieve your requirement. I create a sample pbix file(see attachment) base on your provided data by creating hierarchy slicer with Division and Customer field as a workaround, please check whether that is what you want.
Best Regards
Hi Denis,
Thanks for the affirmation!
I think I know what you're meaning but I'll explain in a little more detail with an example to clarify my problem again.
When I select division 1, the pie chart becomes a solid color, effectively only displaying a whole "pie" which is meaningless information.
What I'd like to do is when the division is slected change from dividing the pie by division, to by customer under that division like this:
To reiterate: I'd like to see my unfiltered data when no slicer is selected, then when a divisional slicer is selected, I'd like the divisional/sales pie chart to become a customer/sales pie chart filtered by the selected slicer.
Let me know if that makes sense!
Thanks,
CGran

Hey @CGran ,
the section seems to fit 😉
Drag the column with all divisions to the slicer and to the pie chart. In the pie chart add a column with values like amount or sales amount or something similar. Then you should get the result you want.
In general when you describe a problem screenshots often help to see the error faster.
