Dynamic M Query Parameter

Hello ,

I'm trying to use the new Dynamic M Query Parameter  available in the preview features.

I've created an M Query parameter and referenced it in a (direct query) query  using     b.code = '"&P_BRANCH&"'

I've created another query (import) with a column containing the same values as the M Query parameter, in order to filter on.

However as soon as I set the 'Bind to Parameter' option for the import query then the visual for the direct query returns the following error, do you know what I'm doing wrong ? -

(Here is the pbix)

DirectQuery error: DirectQuery may not be used with this data source - please consider moving to a supported data source or upgrading the SQL Server data source to the latest available version.

@richard_wylde did you checked your data source is part of the list of supported data sources and checked the limitations here.

Feel free to email me with any of your BI needs.

Hi @parry2k , it's a postgres database , the parameter type is text,  no filter applied yet, and the parameter operation is equals - so no mention of any of these not being supported
