When I select the date table EndDate = CALENDAR(DATE(1970,1,1),TODAY()) to bind to the DirectQuery Parameters I set up similar to(https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=586&v=pXU_SpiBWUA&feature=emb_title), the Advanced section of the Properties in the modeling view is gone.
When I select the tables that are DirectQuery I see the below:
Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance.
StartDT in the screenshot is the field, not the table. Selecting the field the bind to parameter is missing. It seems like there is a limitation where if your date field is a before slicer with the calendar function, you can no longer bind to parameter. If you bind to the parameter, the date field slicer can only be list or dropdown, but you lose the calendar function. Is this intended behavior?
There seems to be a bug. Even with the list/dropdown slicer the Advanced properties section has disappeared.
Source is SQL Server, which originally did not have support but as I understand is fully supported.
Hi, @Powerbreeze
You need to select specific fields in the table rather than the table.
