Hi
I have a matrix having a 7 level hierarchy, e.g. Product, product category, product brand, customer, customer category, customer subcategory & salesrep. I would like to display to the users the available hierarchies and would also like to give the user the option of dynamically switching from level 1 to level 4, level 4 to level 7 and so on. Currently I am using bookmarks to solve this but it s rather is frustrating to repeat in all the reports apart from the fact that you loose all the column sorting. I am sure most of the Power BI users community came across this hurdle and would be good to have this simple feature out of the box.
Is there some kind of workaround using DAX or some other simple way ?
Thanks
Hi @qwk,
Maybe you can use bookmarks to meet you need.
You can filter the required fields and bookmarks correspondingly.

@qwk , There is an option n case of direct query. Maybe you need bring one column values from direct query and try that - https://datamonkeysite.com/2020/10/22/change-dimension-dynamically-using-parameter-in-powerbi/
