Greetings. I'll lead with my question then provide the detail. I'd like to load a report dynamically drilled down to the level of the report viewer (data filtered via row loevel security).
I'm producing a report using row level security deployed to PBIRS based on table with a self referencing org structure like so. The concept is you see the data in the report at your level of the org and below.
Based on the info in this forum thread I was able to get everything working great. I use the path function to produce the hierarchy, and translate that into columns of management levels that I use in the reports for drilldown
Data
Those org levels are used in the visual
Org levels defined in the visual for drillown
The one problem I have however is with the drill down. If I'm a level 4 manager I should (and do) only see data for level 4 and 5, however the visual loads at level 1, and I have to drill down through all the levels that contain the same summarized data until I hit my level of detail. Its not a deal breaker, but somewhat redundant, and ideally I'd love it if I could get the visual to load already drilled into my level in the org structure.
I hope I have provided a clear enough description while still respecting the confidentiality of the data I'm working with. If you need more information let me know.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to dynamic drill down for Matrix within RLS in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
