Hi everyone,
I need to create a dynamic column based slicer on my report.
Let me explain better:
I have this table in my datamodel:
level_4 | level_5 | level_6 | level_7 |
italy | south | apulia | lecce |
italy | south | apulia | bari |
italy | center | lazio | rome |
italy | north | lombardy | milan |
I created slicers, with these 4 column above:
slicer in my reports: level_4, level_5, level_6, level_7
then i created a visual table to show the results from slicer like this:
My goal is to show the next level, when i filter any value of one of the slicers above my reports, in the table!
(considering my slicers are set to select one value at a time, "multi-select with Ctrl")
First example:
if I filter any value of level_4, i need to show all value of level_5,
Second example:
if I filter any value level_6, i need to show all value of level_7 (and so on..)
hi Simon,

I am putting a pbi togeher to see if that works.

I don't know, because I need to have slicers at the top like in the example.
I thought of a type of calculated column that dynamically changes its values based on the selection made in the slicers at the top of the report.
Your solution comes very close but I wouldn't be able to insert the condition where "if you filter something by level_4, you must return only the values of level_5"
