Duplicate report - Same data source - different table

If i have a data source with 2 seperate tables (Table1 and Table2).

Both tables have the exact same column names but different values.

I have created a report using my data from Table1.....

I want to duplicate the report but now pull the data from Table2 instead.

Is there an easy way to achieve this ?

Thanks in advance!!

HI @NTIBOILERS,

You can save your original report as a template then you can use it to create sample visualization with different data source.

After setup a new datasource and generate correspond report, use 'save as' to save current file back to pbix file.

try to change source in power query editor

The souce is the same. The table within the source is changing.

I've just tried doing this - I'm guessing you've got them formatted as tables, in the query editor go to the Navigation step, and then change the name of the table from the old one to the new one

jthomson,

Yes they are formatted as tables.

When i try to change the name from the old one to the new one it says the name already exists.

Thoughts ?
