Hello
Using AdventureWorksDW, I am trying to duplicate my query "DimDate".
Though once I duplicate, I can see data appearing for the duplicated table, after doing "Close & Apply", I can see no data in the table.
I checked Advanced Editor for both the tables and it is exactly same i.e.
let
Source = Sql.Databases("XXXX"),
AdventureWorksDW2014 = Source{[Name="AdventureWorksDW2014"]}[Data],
dbo_DimDate = AdventureWorksDW2014{[Schema="dbo",Item="DimDate"]}[Data]
in
dbo_DimDate
Alternatively, if I do a Reference instead of Duplicate, I can see data appearing correctly.
Any idea what could be the reason or anyone faced this?
Regards

Hi vmakhija,
I have reproduced your issue. The duplicate operation only duplicate info like Name, Data, Schema, Item and Kind, raw data in database will not be duplicate. So the solution is to refresh the table by clicking "Refresh" so that raw data will be import to power bi again.

Hi vmakhija,
Modify M code like this and check if it can work:
let Source = Sql.Database("Server", "Database"), dbo_Table = Source {[Schema="dbo",Item="Table"]}[Data] in dbo_Table

I faced this issue with yet another table today. So, when I duplicate the table, the duplicated table shows no data in report design view.
Not sure what is causing it...
Regards
There is no error message.
Its just that in "Data" view, there is no data for the duplicated table.
